A MESSAGE FROM EQUIRATINGS
Diarmuid Byrne, Co-founder and Managing Director
From the moment we first began to realise the scale of crisis that was unfolding, our immediate thoughts here turned to the safety and well-being of the team and their families. We have been all been working from home for some time and we have two video conferences each day with all eight of our team joining. Thankfully for now, we are all safe and well.
I am so proud of our team in this last month. We have put aside the disappointment and worry of having no live events and thought about the opportunities that are available.
We have had almost 1,000 unique downloads every day on the Eventing Podcast in March – a new record. We have launched a new website – something which was always delayed. We have launched our move into training - EquiRatings Onform – and made it available for free during this period when many coaches need a tool to earn money through remote coaching.
We are launching our first ever simulated competitions and the Eventing Manager app with SAP which will allow fans to select a team for competitions and stay connected during this period (and beyond).
SAP have been a constant source of support to us during these times and have challenged us to spread that to the wider equestrian world. What can we provide, what can we bring, to help riders, fans and friends stay connected and part of this special community while we are all apart?
I hope we can live up to that challenge over the coming months.
